Sarpi
Sarpi is a border village and resort, located 20 km from Batumi. From here you can see the territory of neighboring Turkey.
The mountain ridges here are close to the sea. The beach is not so big, but it is the only place in Ajara where you can do cliff jumping.
You can stay in hotels as well as in family guest houses. There are sunbeds and umbrellas for rent at the beach.
Sarpi is inhabited by the ancient, Laz subgroup of Georgians, who still preserve their ancient culture and language.
Here you can visit the waterfall of the apostle Andrew the First-Called.
You may drive or walk across the Sarpi border checkpoint to enter Turkey.
