Okropilauri fortress is located in the village of Okropilauri of Shuakhevi municipality, at the confluence of Chirukh and Uchambiskali rivers. 1 km from Achariskali. The fort well controlled the roads leading here in different directions. It is built on a rocky hill on the left side of the confluence of rivers. It is inaccessible from three sides. It has the only access from the south side.
The building is small in size. The inner space between the walls of the fence is divided into two parts. The eastern and northern walls are relatively well preserved. On the southern side, the castle has an additional protective wall. A large part of it is destroyed. It is built with rough slab stones. Lime mortar is used to connect them.
