Batumi Piazza is a popular destination in a coastal city, attracting both locals and international tourists. This popular tourist destination is in the historic old town, close to the sea and the seaport.

The Batumi Piazza stands as a testament to the creative vision of the talented Georgian architect, Vazha Orbeladze, renowned for his restoration work on historic landmarks in Tbilisi, Sighnaghi, and Telavi.

Piazza is a beautiful and charming square, surrounded by cafe bars, restaurants, an open-air stage, a child entertainment centre, a clock with moving figures, and neo-baroque-style buildings. All of them complement each other admirably and create pleasant combinations.

The piazza spans an area of 5700 square meters with buildings adorned with intricate artistic, mosaic, and stained glass designs, particularly sea goddesses reminiscent of those in Piazza di San Marco, Venice.

Piazza is particularly captivating in the evening, with live music and a cozy atmosphere.  The beauty of the square lies in its incredible mosaic in the middle. The mosaic is one of the largest in Europe and is made of hundreds of thousands of cut and shaped tiny pieces of marble from 15 different countries around the world.

The magnificent mosaic composition of the piazza was crafted in 2010 by the Georgian designer Natali de Pita Amirejibi. The mosaic was manufactured in Abu Dhabi by the company 'Pantini Mosaic'.
