Kaviani Fortress is a 12th–13th-century monument situated on the Kaviani Ridge, on the left bank near the confluence of the Chvanistsqali and Acharistsqali rivers. It stands at an elevation of 550 meters above sea level. Kaviani Fortress is one of the region's significant landmarks. Currently, mostly just the walls remain; the western wall is the best preserved, measuring 7.1 meters in length and 5 meters in height. The structure is built using a combination of river stones and quarried stone; such construction techniques were likely common during that period. Kaviani Fortress can be reached via hiking trails starting from either the village of Jalabashvilebi (Keda Municipality) or the village of Kldisubani (Shuakhevi Municipality). The trail spans 3.6 km and winds through a forest featuring both deciduous and coniferous trees.
