It currently sits within the residential grounds of the Bezhanidze family, an area entirely enclosed by a perimeter wall. The fortress complex covers a vast area and is situated on a high rocky outcrop. Surviving structures within the site include walls, towers, gateways, and buildings that served various purposes.
