The dolphin show has long been a beloved attraction in our seaside town. Established by 1975, the Batumi Dolphinarium continues to enchant visitors, remaining the primary entertainment destination for visitors to this day.

The Batumi Dolphinarium, located in the central park, is one of the city's most important and fascinating landmarks. Equipped with modern technologies, its pools undergo seawater changes up to five times a day. Currently, it houses Black Sea bottlenose dolphins, easily adapting and reproducing within the dolphinarium'sfacilities. With spacious pools, the Batumi Dolphinarium can accommodate up to 15 dolphins at a time.

Dolphinarium ceased operations in the early 1990s due to the challenging political and economic situation; however, it reopened in 2011. Today, within Ajara'stourism infrastructure, the dolphinarium stands as one of the main attractions. Up to 900 people can attend dolphin shows simultaneously.

Right next to the Dolphinarium is the Batumi Display Aquarium, which opened its doors on August 20, 1966. At first, fin-footed mammals from the Pacific Ocean northern region and Caspian seals were on display. These days, the aquarium features about a hundred freshwater species from Georgia in addition to fish found in the black sea.
