In Ajara, there are plenty of great spots for picnics, whether you're close to Batumi or up in the mountains at more than 2100 meters above sea level. In 2020, new picnic areas with corresponding infrastructure were added in three different locations:

If you're into mountain biking and find yourself at 2148 meters in the Chirukhi foothills, there's a beautiful picnic area waiting for you. You can enjoy the views, take a stroll in meadows, chill on benches, relax in hammocks and swings, and even camp overnight with tents. Checking out the Chirukhi picnic area is a must, especially if you're on a longer trip.

Kapnistavi village, located in Khelvachauri, is an emerging tourist spot that charms visitors with its scenic beauty, crisp air, waterfalls, breathtaking mountain scenery, well-kept mountain paths, age-old arched bridges, quaint village homes, vineyards, an outdoor museum, and, above all, the warm hospitality of the locals. The equipped picnic area here is another reason to visit this beautiful place.

The village of Shuamta, located in Chakvi, is also known as the "paradise for birdwatchers" due to its role as a migratory hub for numerous predatory birds, providing a spectacular show every autumn. Accessible within a quick 10-15 minute drive from Batumi, this destination caters to both bird enthusiasts and those simply seeking stunning panoramic views of Batumi and its surroundings. The recent picnic infrastructure enhancements in Shuamta ensure a more comfortable and enjoyable relaxation experience.
