Europe Square

In autumn, many festivals and events are held in Adjara. One of the most popular events that make sunny autumn in Batumi more attractive is the Gandagana rural tourism festival. In October, the city is filled with bright colors and energy brought from the mountains. While visiting the festival, guests are immersed in the atmosphere of the village, with its specific culture, traditions, cuisine and folklore.

“Gandagana” gives you a chance to visit Kobuleti, Khelvachauri, Keda, Shauhevi and Khulo without leaving the city. All five municipalities of the mountainousd Adjara are presenting their unique products - fruits, dairy products, wine, sweets, handicrafts and much more. The area where the festival takes place is divided into thematic corners. During the event you will have chance to try the most delicious traditional dishes and take part in their preparation. No matter who you are or where you come from, you will have to change a lot of roles during the festival: get ready to become a chef and taster, a dancer, a singer and of course a photographer!

Every year, guests from different parts of Georgia and the world come to Gandagana” festival. The festival program is designed in such a way as to acquaint guests with Adjarian traditions and culture. An exhibition-sale of agricultural products, fun contests, master classes and folklore shows are held, and this is only a small part of the activities that are offered to guests during the festival.

During the whole day guests can watch a folklore show and enjoy Georgian folk dance and song. Modern bands are also performing.

Visit “Gandagana” festival at least once and you will see that Adjarian autumn will definitely become your favorite season!
