Festivals and cultural events held in Adjara annually attract visitors from different countries. One of these festivals, which is especially popular among tourists and residents of the city is the "Summer Festival". The festival is dedicated to the opening of the swimming season and shows the readiness for the peak tourist season.
The summer festival is very colorful, with themed decorations and lighting. Throughout the day, local and foreign DJs perform and entertain visitors.
During the event all sorts of summer activities and sports competitions take place simultaneously: table tennis, beach volleyball, bier pong, etc. There is also a lot of entertainment for children, for which a separate corner is usually arranged with animators and a variety of games.
The territory where the event takes place is filled with open-air cafes, bungalows and other sales areas selling various goodies and drinks (alcoholic and non-alcoholic).
The show program is updated annually and is always different. The festival includes such activities as a fire show and a kite show, kindling fires, launching balloons into the sky and more. The festival ends with a grand firework display.
The main goal of the festival is to create the summer mood and atmosphere of a real beach holiday.
