Kintrishi National Park is one of the most distinctive places in Adjara, located in the Kobuleti municipality within the Kintrishi River Gorge. Situated between the village of Tskhemvani and the Khino Mountains, it lies at an altitude of 300 to 2,500 meters above sea level.

The reserve was established to protect the Colchian-type flora and fauna of the Tertiary period, and is characterized by a very humid climate alongside rugged, mountainous, and diverse terrain. The Kintrishi protected area stretches over 13,514 hectares and is included in the UNESCO World Natural Heritage List. You can get full information about the reserve at the modern visitor center located on the park's territory.

In Kintrishi National Park, nature lovers and adventure enthusiasts can enjoy marked and well-maintained routes of varying difficulty. Visitors can choose the "Varjanauli and Tskhemvani Arched Bridges" one-day hike, or the "Utgovari and Lake Tbikeli" two-day hiking and horseback riding trail.

Among the protected areas of Georgia, Kintrishi National Park has the largest area covered by forest, featuring a wide variety of Colchian-type plants, shrubs, and ferns. Along with the flora, the fauna of Kintrishi is also quite rich and diverse. The rivers are abundant in trout, which is included in the Red List, and therefore fishing is strictly prohibited.

Additionally, within the protected area in the village of Khino, you will find the Khinotsminda Episcopal Cathedral. Dating back to the 9th century, it played a very important role in the church life of that period.
