Tourism is currently one of the fastest-growing sectors globally. Today's travelers increasingly seek authentic connections with nature, pristine environments, local traditions, gastronomy, culture, and history. Together, these elements form the foundation of rural tourism.

The rich natural landscapes of Adjara, combined with its unique culture, authentic environment, delicious cuisine, and legendary hospitality, create the ideal conditions for this sector to thrive. From protected nature reserves to diverse regional tourism offerings, Adjara appeals to all types of travelers. Consequently, the number of visitors eager to explore mountainous Adjara continues to grow every year.

The International Conference on Rural Tourism explores the future development of the industry, focusing on innovative ways to attract international visitors. Its primary goal is to unite industry professionals, entrepreneurs, and representatives from both the public and private sectors to network, discuss emerging trends, and share valuable experiences.

The event welcomes Georgian and international experts, guesthouse owners, travel agency representatives, rural and eco-tourism specialists, as well as government and non-governmental organizations. Over the course of the two-day conference, attendees can participate in dynamic presentations, expert reports, seminars, and panel discussions, alongside guided practical visits to Adjara's regional tourist routes.

Attendance at the conference is completely free of charge; however, advance online registration is required. Georgian and international guest speakers are invited to the event individually.

To reflect the dynamic nature of the industry, the central theme of the Rural Tourism Conference is updated annually. The event has already been successfully hosted four times in the Adjara region.
