The May Day Mosque administratively belongs to Kedi Municipality and it is one of the oldest wooden mosques in Adjara. It was built in 1865 and was restored in the 1990s. The builder of the mosque was Bashusta Ali Kilaogli, he presented the building with various wooden vernacular ornaments. If you have visited this mosque at least once, you will definitely notice the colorful and cheerful interior, which is the result of the restoration in 1990. It should be noted that these pastel colors add even more special beauty to the wooden ornaments and highlight each work.

The May Day Mosque does not currently have a minaret, however, as we read in historical reports, it had an old minaret built of stone and brick until the 1930s.
