Skhalta, Kinchauri — a 12th century church in Adjara, in the village of Kinchauri of Khulo municipality, in the valley of the Skhalta (Khikhan) river, the center of the Diocese of Skhalta.

Skhalti Church is a monument of great importance and occupies an honorable place among other rare examples of Georgian architecture. It is the only sample of medieval cult architecture and monumental wall painting in Adjara.

The main temple of Skhalti is a large hall building, which had gates on the south and west sides. Currently, only the arched entrance of one of them remains, while the other has been destroyed for a long time. In addition, the temple had a glass building on the north side, which is evidenced by the traces of its walls. The monument was severely damaged: the facing stone was removed from the largest part of the walls, and the heavy design stone was on the northern and eastern facades. Even the interior walls were preserved without damage. Stones are especially missing in the old part of the walls. On the east side, there are three beautiful carvings in the shape of a cross.
