The Kvirike Mosque is located in Adjara,in the village of Kvirike,Kobuleti municipality.It was built in 1865-1866 by the Arhaveli Lazi master.During the Soviet period,like the rest of the Adjarian mosques,the Jame of Kvirike was also closed and it was used as a grain storehouse.In the 1990s, religious services were resumed in the mosque.The Kvirike Mosque is a wooden building built on a stone foundation,with a plan close to a square.It is decorated with richly carved pillars and ricules. The first floor has an open balcony.The building is distinguished by the colorful painting of the interior and skillfully made wood carving patterns.We enter the mosque through double-winged doors,which are decorated with stylized lily branch-flower faces and braids.The building is completed with a heavily pitched tiled roof.The Kvirike mosque is an architectural difference of the Adjarian house.
